Schrock named GWA Fellow
September 30, 2015Denny Schrock, lecturer and Iowa State Master Gardener coordinator was named a Garden Writers Association (GWA) Fellow at the annual awards banquet held during the organization’s international symposium in Pasadena, CA, Sept. 18-21, 2015. A GWA Fellow is a member in good standing who has demonstrated exceptionally high degrees of skill, professional ethics and dedication to the objectives of GWA. Fellows are nominated by the membership, recommended by the Honors Committee and elected by the Board of Directors. The Garden Writers Association is an organization of more than 1,800 professional communicators in the lawn and garden industry from all 50 states and 6 foreign countries. It is a non-profit association that provides leadership and opportunities for education, recognition, career development, and a forum for diverse interactions for professionals in the field of garden communication.
