IOWA PUBLIC RADIO’S “HORTICULTURE DAY” SHOW IS TURNING 30. SATURDAY, 30 JULY 2016 JOIN IPR “TALK OF IOWA” HOST CHARITY NEBBE FOR A LIVE SHOW AND FAMILY FIELD DAY

Location:  Horticulture Research Station, 55519 170th St., east of Gilbert

Cost:  Free

Tours of the 230-acre farm begin at 1:30 p.m.  A special edition “Horticulture Day” program begins at 2:30 p.m. (be part of the audience).  Visitors are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Research Station students will provide a farmer’s market so visitors can buy produce grown on the farm.  There also will be crafts and games for children, including mega veggie tic-tac-toe, carrot relay races and veggie toss.

Parking is available on site.
