Alejandra Feliciano, a graduate student in Horticulture was awarded $5,000 in the Agricultural Business Plan Competition developed by ISU’s Agricultural Entrepreneurship initiative sponsored by Stine Seed Company and Summit Group. Undergraduate and graduates students from 15 land-grant universities competed. Alejandra was one of 3 national winners for the event.

The event provided an estimated 2000 melons to be used for carnival games. Game winners received tickets that were used in raffles to win items such as university apparel, gift cards, coupons and board games. The melons did not go to waste.
