Horticulture Shines Brightly on Jack Trice Field

On September 23, 2021, 65 Extension and Outreach colleagues from across the state enjoyed a private tour of the Jack Trice football stadium playing field by assistant professor, Adam Thoms, and Josh Tyrdik, Athletic Field Manager, also a graduate of ISU Horticulture. Attendees from ISUEO county offices and campus staff learned about the immense amount of work that goes into keeping the field both aesthetically appealing and safe for the players. Also viewed was the end-zone Cyclone logo stenciling work of Carson Schnieders and Zack Messer, Horticulture undergraduate students, in preparation for the next home game against Kansas.
