Alum of the Month: Heather Lappe, Wright Outdoor Solutions
June 1, 2018Heather Lappe graduated in Horticulture in December 2016. Heather is from Marion, Iowa.
Heather’s major job responsibilities are: Working as a design associate. Heather’s responsibilities include measuring sites, putting together basemaps and designs, shadowing designers, working on/with crews, and any other learning opportunities that arise.
We asked Heather what she likes most about her position. I love that in my position I spend my time doing so many different things. Some days I spend my entire day outside jumping from site to site. Other days I work directly with the designers on staff learning. Some days I spend with crews doing installs.
Following is the advice Heather offers to current students: If there is a class that sounds interesting take it! You never know when the additional knowledge will come in handy.
