Career Goals:
As a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala, I realized how much I liked
working with people and sharing my enthusiasm for horticulture. When I
returned to the U.S., I wanted to find a way to teach horticulture to
people in non-formal settings, much like I did in Guatemala. I'd love
to take some time to travel to a part of the world I haven't seen, but
ultimately I'd like to make a career out of teaching horticulture to
people, either through Extension programs, teaching at a community
college, or an outreach program. I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm and
appreciation for nature and hope to inspire others to grow more plants
or learn how to garden.
