Research Focus
Dr. Fei's research is in grass genetics and breeding. Current research projects include Quantitative Trait Loci (QTL) mapping, transcriptome analysis of cold acclimation and freezing tolerance, gene discovery, and genetic transformation of turfgrasses and biofuel crops.
Teaching/Advising Responsibilities
Dr. Fei's teachs the courses of Growth and Development of Perennial Grass (Hort 551) and Introduction to Plant Breeding (Agron /Hort 421). Dr. Fei serves as graduate and undergraduate advisor in Horticulture.
